Welcome to Our Lady and St Swithin’s Catholic Primary School

On behalf of the Pupils, staff and Governing body here at Our Lady and St Swithin’s Catholic Primary School I would like to welcome you to our website. We are a thriving, busy and welcoming primary school and work closely with our parish. Our Lady Queen of Martyr’s.

We have over 230 children ranging in age from 3 to 11. We believe that we offer each child regardless of their starting point or ability, the opportunities that they are entitled too. We are truly blessed to have wonderful children who are guided and supported by parents and carers who engage fully with our school. Our staff are dedicated and committed to delivering the very best experience for all children.

Our Mission statement cites that ‘As a Catholic community centred on God’s love, respecting all, we are committed to enable and encourage each person to be cared for in body, mind and spirit; ensuring each individual achieves their full potential in a secure and caring environment.’.

My mission as Headteacher is to ensure that every child achieves to their full potential and that the curriculum which we offer allows the ‘whole child’ to thrive not just academically but in every facet of their development including spiritually, physically and morally. Our governing body plays an integral role in our success; acting as the ‘critical friend’. They challenge and support us to ensure that we are always able to deliver our vision and values. I hope that you have found our website informative and useful and I look forward to meeting you in person in the near future.

Best wishes,

E. Hartley
