Y4 Computing

2023/2024
Autumn 1 – We will be looking at Our Online Life and how to stay safe whilst using the internet. We will be looking at our Digital Footprint and how we can manage our Digital Footprint and make it a positive impact on ourselves and others.
Autumn 2 – We will be looking at hour of code this half term in computing. We will be completing different challenges and using a variety of different coding programs looking at many different coding rules. We will be creating our own google sign recording the algorithm, and explaining what different coding language means within chosen programs.
Spring 1 – This term in computing year 4 have been focusing their learning on dinosaur which is a blockbuster where pupils us different filming techniques and telling a story through their filming. Pupils had to think about whether they were going to film landscape or portrait, in light or dark and how close they need to be in order to hear the person they were filming.
Spring 2 – This term year 4 are looking at a wizard school project with in computing. They have completed different challenges and been given the opportunity to build there our supply’s needed for their life in school. Pupils have created their own character, wand and creature.
