Mathematics
Autumn Term:
As part of our keeping healthy topic, we collected twenty two different types of fruit. We sorted the fruit into types, counted how many of each fruit and labelled how many. We used the fruit to practise subitising and adding one more.
We have been working at recognising each number, our number formation and placing our numbers in the correct order. We used our skills to create shop labels for our shop items.
We created our own Christmas wrapping paper by using our knowledge of repeating patterns. We used different coloured paint and stampers to create our own patterns.
Spring Term:
This half-term, we have been looking at all of the different ways we can make the number 10. We have split our number into two by using a tens frame, a number line and our fingers.
