Welcome to Year 6!
Miss Davies - Class Teacher
Miss Thwaites - Teaching Assistant
A very warm welcome to our Year 6 class page! Year 6 is an exciting and memorable year, filled with new challenges, opportunities, achievements and special moments.
Year 6 is a particularly important time as it marks the final year of primary school, before pupils take their next exciting step into Year 7 and secondary school. It is a year for making lasting memories, celebrating friendships and achievements, and preparing pupils for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. Throughout the year, pupils are encouraged to develop greater confidence, independence and resilience as they continue to grow both academically and personally. As the oldest children in the school, Year 6 pupils also have the important responsibility of being positive role models and leaders, setting a wonderful example for younger members of the school community.
As a Catholic school, faith is at the heart of everything we do. Following the example of Jesus, pupils are encouraged to show kindness, respect, compassion and love, while recognising and developing the unique gifts and talents that God has given them.
There is so much to look forward to throughout Year 6, including exciting learning opportunities, new responsibilities, trips, celebrations, prayer and many special Year 6 experiences. It is a year to celebrate the journey through primary school while ensuring that pupils are well prepared to move on to secondary school with confidence, courage and faith.
We look forward to a happy, successful and faith-filled year, filled with learning, laughter and wonderful memories.
