My name is Miss Duvall and I am excited to be teaching your children this year. In our class, I am joined by our wonderful teaching assistants; Miss Cadwallader and Mrs Garner and together we are working together to help your children learn, grow and shine. Year 5 is a year filled with new opportunities, challenges, and achievements, where children continue to build on the skills they have developed so far and take greater responsibility for their learning. Our aim is to provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment in which every child feels confident to try their best, ask questions, and explore new ideas.
Throughout the year, we will focus on developing independence, resilience, and a love of learning, as well as encouraging teamwork and respect for one another. The curriculum will be engaging and broad, with opportunities to deepen understanding across all subjects, while also nurturing creativity and curiosity.
We value the strong partnership between home and school and believe that by working together we can ensure the best outcomes for your child. Regular communication will keep you informed about your child’s progress and experiences, and we encourage you to share in their successes and support them with challenges along the way.
We are truly looking forward to the year ahead and to celebrating the growth, achievements, and memorable moments that Year 5 will bring.
